Vinyasa Yoga and Breath Work

Workshop

I teach yoga classes for beginners and intermediate level yogis, using the breath as a driving force and anchor. Through my workshops I give participants guidance and a safe space to feel grounded, focused, refreshed, and relaxed. My instructions include multiple variations to accommodate people of all levels and there is always an option to solely focus on breath work and use the class as a meditative space if movement does not feel right or accessible in the body.

My yoga practice is based on vinyasa and pranayama. Vinyasa yoga is a style that focuses on the balance between movement and breath, steadily flowing between poses. Pranayama can be translated as breath work or deep breathing exercises, prana being understood as the universal life-force or energy that flows through our bodies.

I believe that movement can work as medicine for the mind, body, and soul and guide my sessions accordingly. The workshops will not be too physically challenging, but include flowing sequences of asanas (yoga poses) and mobility training for all levels. My classes are centred around the breath and finding balance and mindfulness throughout the practice, carrying it on into one's daily life.
