The Magic Bus (The Luchtbus)
The beating heart of the festival is The Magic Bus (The Luchtbus). Nestled in the Field of natural beauty of the campsite, this legendary stage brings the energy of the festival truly alive, creating an intimate connection between artists and the audience.
The Luchtbus has a storied history, originating as an iconic 1959 city bus converted into a painted, cloud-covered magic bus. First arriving at the free-spirited Dutch artist village of Ruigoord in 1974, it served as the beating heart of the Amsterdam Balloon Company and a traveling, colorful clubhouse for art, theater, and music festivals across Europe, even traveling overland all the way to India. Following a devastating fire that destroyed the original bus, the community felt a deep loss. However, in celebration of Ruigoord’s 50th anniversary, a new Luchtbus was born.
Now, ART2B is helping to keep this incredible creative spirit alive.
