The Luchtbus (Magic Bus) was an iconic 1959 city bus converted into a painted, cloud-covered magic bus. It was the beating heart of the Amsterdam Balloon Company in the Ruigoord artist community.
The bus first arrived at the free-spirited village of Ruigoord in 1974. It became a traveling stage for art and music festivals across Europe. The bus even traveled overland to India. Think of it like a colorful, rolling clubhouse that brought people together for art, theater, and music.
After a fire destroyed the original bus, the community felt a deep loss. Thankfully, Ruigoord celebrated its 50th anniversary by creating a new Luchtbus. ART2B will help to keeps this creative spirit alive...
